Who we are
Through-the-Week School is a half-day, play-based preschool located at 1900 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28207, operating as a ministry of Myers Park Baptist Church. This policy applies to information you submit through throughtheweekschool.org and related pages.
Information we collect
- Application information you provide through our online application form — parent and guardian names, home address, phone, email, information about the child being enrolled, program selections, and your electronic signature.
- Portal access — the shared passcode used by families to reach the Parents page and the token used by staff for the Teacher Portal.
- Messages you send us by email, phone, or contact form.
- Basic technical information that your browser sends automatically (device type, general location, pages visited) used to keep the site running.
We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To review and respond to your application for enrollment.
- To communicate with you about your child, tuition, schedules, and school events.
- To operate and improve the website.
- To meet our legal, licensing, and record-keeping obligations.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Application data submitted through the website is stored in our secure backend database and, once received, is also emailed to the Director's school email account. Access is limited to TTWS administrative staff who need it to process your application, and to Myers Park Baptist Church administrators who support school operations.
We do not share your family's information with outside marketers. We may share information only when necessary to run the school (for example, with our licensed service providers), when required by law, or with your permission.
How long we keep it
Application records are retained in our backend for up to one year and may also be retained in the Director's email account for the same period. Enrollment records for children who attend TTWS are retained separately under our school records policy.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for parents and guardians. TTWS does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. Information about a child that appears in an application is provided by the enrolling parent or guardian.
Cookies
We use only the minimal browser storage needed for the site to work (for example, remembering that you entered the Parents-page passcode during your visit). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we have about your family, request corrections, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you submit, including encrypted connections to our website and restricted staff access. No online service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure; please share only what you're comfortable submitting online.
